Calming the fear…….

I am so thankful that I have my art to express all the thoughts that are usually swirling around in my head. It has been a tough start to the new year in alot of areas of my life…some things have been resolved.. some will be ongoing… the hard times make us who we are..! I’m trying to be thankful but it’s hard!…. I am looking forward to what’s in store in the coming months… I have this excitement to really push to get my art out there… and see if people like it. I want to take this little dream of mine and make it something that I could actually make A few bucks doing! That would be amazing! The passion for this dream is almost uncontrollable.. I’m trying little by little to get things in place.. I just get so impatient… ! I can’t stay bound up I HAVE to BLOSSOM!

Hello there! I’m Shawn Petite

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 30 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul.
