Shipping… painting…. shipping!!! with a little love on the side …

This is the craziness in my studio….I am the processing, shipping, and painting department!…. and I love it! It has been a super busy week, with lots of orders, not to mention the fact that I’m getting married TOMORROW! …. but I managed to find some time with some amazing women this week who are always an encouragement to me. Each dear soul has a different gift and I love that we can sit at a table and laugh, cry, dream, create, and encourage each other in our sameness and our differences. Being connected is soooo important for all of us…. One of my favorite artists Kelly Rae Roberts has been talking about connectedness on her blog.… and shares her stories of the different tribes of women that she has belonged to at different stages of her life. I want to encourage you to read her blog because she is truly and inspiration and I also want to encourage you to find your tribe where you feel safe, loved, motivated, encouraged and happy and protect it, invest in it and make it a priority. My tribe inspired me to paint by there creative and inspiring words this week…. here’s a new one…. Big smile=Shawn

Hello there! I’m Shawn Petite

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 30 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul.
