Where there is ruin, there is hope for a treasure… Rumi

I have felt and still feel some days that my dreams, my goals, my business is in ruin. What once was a beautiful thing, lies in a pile of rubble. In those moments I feel like I’m looking desperately at the pile for the pieces to start putting things back together, … back in order, …. back to how it once was.

But, what if things, my dreams, your dreams, goals, business, or relationships have fallen to pieces, so that you can rebuild them better. I am a believer that everything happens for a reason, and if that’s that case, then, my pile of rubble is for a reason. Your pile of rubble is for a reason. Maybe I shouldn’t scramble to rebuild, but feel the loss, feel the confusion, feel the uncertainty and then be thankful for where I am, and slowly feel the gratitude of the treasure to come. I know that there will be a treasure… there always has… out of some of my toughest times amazing things have happened.

My friend, there is a treasure coming. I don’t know what, but I know it will come. So for now, My hope for you is that you take the time to feel, that you take the time to know yourself better than ever before. Take the time to get to know your dreams, hopes, desires,(there is treasure is just doing this),,, so that there is no question about how to rebuild. Then….. do the work…. it’s hard…. I KNOW, but the treasure is waiting for you.

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 30 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul.
