Courage to be true to your calling

Courage…. courage to be honest, to be vulnerable, to laugh out loud, to cry openly, to share the pain.

Courage to let go of the shame, the doubt, the fear.

Courage to not be in control all the time.

Courage to let someone love and care for me.

Courage to allow success to come and feel like it is deserved.

Courage to feel worthy.

Courage to SHOUT my joy, my talents, my light.

Courage to be sexy and feminine.

Courage to be bold and soft all at the same time

Courage to ask for what I need and not feel guilty.

Courage to create, be original, smart and funny.

Courage to allow abundance to flow.

Courage to be unique.

Courage to be true to my calling and awaken the beautiful soul that has been hiding.

Hello there! I’m Shawn Petite

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 30 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul.
