Decorating ideas for small pieces of art

I get a lot of questions about how to decorate with my art.  Most of my pieces that I sell online are smaller, because of shipping and cost. But you can still create beautiful design in your home with smaller pieces of art, like mine (wink).

Since my degree is Interior Design and I used to do this for a living…… and I have an intense love for creating visually pleasing spaces in my home…..I have created a few vignettes to show you what you can do.  I have a million different ideas, but these will do for now. 🙂

I have grouped by color, the above photo (reds) below (brights)

I changed the back pieces and it gives a different look.

Just by changing one or two things you can create a new look.

The above is a mix of colors, but if things look intentionally placed you can use any color scheme.

All of my art in the pictures are prints on wood and are available in my shop

I would love to hear how you have used my art in your home decor.

Hello there! I’m Shawn Petite

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 25 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul. I believe—no, I know—you are worthy of love, and I want to teach you to know that about yourself. Join me on this journey of art and inspiration!
