I don’t mind change, as long as it’s on my terms. But when has that ever happened in my life???? Very Seldom.

Change comes when we least expect it. Something that shakes our foundation.

You would think that I would be a pro at accepting change, because I have had alot of it, but I’m not. I will say that I’m better at it these days, because I know that everything will be ok eventually. I also know that each twist and turn in life’s road has prepared me for this very moment. I have also lived with the motto that “Everything happens for a reason”.

However I have definitely had my moments, with fist raised to the heavens say “Why?!” I can’t take it!, I can’t do it! But you know what…. I did, I made it. …. and I know there are more lessons to come. (oh boy!) …( that was sarcasm )

The only thing that’s constant it change, and if you find yourself in changing times, stop for a moment and breathe. I’m not saying you should breeze right through, or carry a fake smile. Just keep in the back of your mind the thought that, you will survive, you will grow and learn. No matter how hard a circumstance it is, you can make it. Maybe you can embrace it… just for a moment.

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 30 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.
