Do you believe? You know, that thing… that you think is possible, do you believe?

Do you believe?

Believe that it will happen?

Believe that you can do it?

Believe that it is possible?  You know that thing, that you hold in your heart. That you yearn for.

Do you believe that you are strong enough? To make it through, that stuff that you are dealing with. That hard situation.

Do you believe that you have the endurance to push through? Yes your’e tired, but do you believe it will happen?

Do you believe that you deserve a peaceful heart, healing and kind words?

I mean really believe, not just um… yeah,… but a “Hell yes!” kinda belief?

I believe that we need (I need) that “Hell yes” kinda belief in ourselves and our abilities because, for sure, with out a doubt, some one or something will challenge that belief.

I believe that the phone call will come, the termination notice will be handed, the rejection letter will be given, that hurtful words, snickers and sneers will be spoken. Divorce papers will be served, trust will be broken, economies will slump, businesses will be closed, cars and houses will be repossessed, kids will stray, weight will be gained, bodies will age, creativeness will hide, writers will be blocked, bosses will be younger, pay will be less and late notices will pile up.

I believe that balance is a myth and that some seasons in our lives are smooth sailing,  those smooth sailing seasons are there to build our believe muscles, and then there are those seasons that challenge everything to our core. That cause us to question our worth, our abilities, our strength.

I believe that we can’t have everything…. we have to give up something to get something else. I can’t have an athletes body by writing beautiful post on my blog and painting all day. I can’t be a successful business owner/entrepreneur working only10 hours a week. I can’t become an accomplished artist by never putting myself out there and practicing my craft everyday.

I believe that we, you, I, can accomplish what we set out to do, when we have that “hell yeah!” belief in ourselves. All the while understanding that we can’t be all things, to all people. All of the time!  All we have to be is enough for ourselves.

Everyone’s list is different, our struggles vary, our concerns are vast and Hell Yes, we can and will get through, start, grow, paint, start over, lose weight and what ever else is on the list, just know that, YOU AND ONLY YOU, know where you started, only you know and are the judge on your progress, only you can believe enough to make it happen. Only YOU can make the choice to have a Hell Yes Belief in yourself.

My question for you is…. That thing that you believe will happen…., what are you willing to let go of, to get to where you need to be?

Do you need to let go of worrying about what others think, giving up some sleep time to get to the gym, letting go of perfection, giving up a latte or two to save money for a class, getting a night job to get the weight of debt off your shoulder, letting the wall down, to let romance happen?

My list is long on what I am letting go of each and everyday to be in the place that I am at. It’s hard, it’s a choice everyday, it’s amazing, it’s scary! But I believe… Hell Yeah! I believe that I can accomplish what I have set out to do!

I believe in you! I would love to here your Hell Yeah story, and encourage you along the way.

Hugs and love!

Shawn

Hello there! I’m Shawn Petite

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 25 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul. I believe—no, I know—you are worthy of love, and I want to teach you to know that about yourself. Join me on this journey of art and inspiration!
