Drawings are always hard for me because I want everyone to win. I wish I could give everyone a gift!

The winners for the journals and note cds are…. Kim Hogan and Micheline Gilmore Hendricks. Send me an email with your mailing info and I will get those out to you this week.  I will be adding note cards and journals to the shop this week, so you can purchase them anytime.

My heart is full today, with gratitude and love for the life I get to live everyday! It’s not always easy but I choose joy everyday. Some days I am better at living joy, and some days I suck at it… but it is definitely a conscious choice.

Today I hope you realize how beautiful you are, how much you have to offer this world. How important your ideas and creativity are. How smart you are. How funny and talented you are. Your day might not be perfect or go as you had planned, but that, or those around you do not determine your worth. You are enough, just as you are and I hope that your heart is open to gratitude for goodness in your life. You might feel that there is little to be grateful for, but even if it’s the bed that you sleep in and the roof over your head, then you have something to be grateful for. And the more we practice gratitude and joy the more we find it, the more we see it and the sooner it will surround us.

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 25 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul.
