A video for healing… you can help

I posted about a week ago that there was a shooting at Marysville Highs school. My son lives is Marysville, WA and the family that he lives with and one of my soul sistas daughter was in the cafeteria at the time of the shooting. This small community and surrounding communities have been shaken. The heaviness, the hurt, the fear can be too much to bear. My son has felt the affects first hand, as a mama, being so far away, it is hard to put into words what I feel. Not being able to help, to care for, to feed, to hug, to love those that mean so much is hard. So this is my way of helping. My way of dealing with the tragedy.My way of saying I love and care for those there, even if I’m many miles away.

The community has come together in so many amazing ways. My sons church, with the help of many, many donations has provided 3 meals a day, movies, games and a safe place to talk this last week when the kids we out of school. They are raising money to help fund counseling for those who need it. So, I want to help….. if you donate, I will send you this piece or ANY piece on my online shop for free. I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 30 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul.
