The last thought…………..
I have had a tough week this week with inspiration… deadlines…. travel….. classes… orders…. yadah… yadah …. yadah…. I know everyone has busy lives….
For me creativity comes in the quiet…. in the solitude….. not in the chaos… so a busy schedule is good, but hard for me to come up with new ideas, new inspiration… something that feels good and authentic. Sometimes the chaos isn’t in my surroundings, but in my head. The chaos is in my head!… it’s loud…. and tangled…. and insecure…and the voices… oh boy!…. that’s when I know that I need to get out of my studio…out of my head…. and just give it a rest. Let it go… Listen to new music… clean out the closet, meet a friend, watch my favorite move, take a walk….something different anything that changes my patterns……and slowly the chaos in my head quiets down… it’s kind of like I can breathe again.
If you are feeling uninspired, stuck, unmotivated… and you have a little bit of chaos going in your own head….. get out! do something different…. whatever that is for you… dancing, taking a walk, singing in the shower… anything! You deserve to have the chaos quited for a moment. YOU can make small changes to move in a new direction! You can feel inspired again! You have so much greatness and talent to share! I want to walk with you on your journey, and bring inspiration to your day…. and most of all, I want you to know how very much you are loved!
Have a great Sunday… Hugs!
Hi Shawn, your work is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing it with us! Can I ask what fixative you use to seal your work? Is it a special kind because you are working on mdf?
Jackie, thanks for the kind words! I use a workable fixative… the brand I use is krylon but any workable fixative will do. have a great day creating.
This was a wonderful tutorial! Very inspiring – love the color choices!
Thanks you so much! Inspire is my word for the year! You are loved!
