About writing your own story,

Some days or some seasons of our lives… doesn’t feel productive, it just feels like we’re killing time. It can be because of family, relationships or jobs or health stuff…. whatever the reason we just feel like were stuck.

I want you to know I get it…. I understand…. I have been there for many seasons in my life… and still go there on a few days currently. But I always had a seed of hope, of desire, of yearning, ALWAYS! and I knew deep down in the quiet places of heart that life would and could be different. Sometimes growth and movement in the stuck times were something as small as tearing out pictures of a magazine of art that I liked or places I wanted to go. It was as small as the words in my journal of how I wanted my relationship to look. Sometimes it was as big as saying NO … to bad people in my life or quitting my job.

Hold on to the hope that you are the author of your story…. and no matter what your timing is, be it small steps or BIG monster scary steps…. HOLD on! Because I know that you can write a beautiful story……

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 30 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul.
