This week I had alot of deadlines and some cool new projects to work on. I am doing a video for Donna Downey this coming Tuesday, one of my fellow artists gang member wasn’t able to do her video so I quickly jumped in to help out. This is the fun stuff I was working on this week…..

There is nothing more beautiful than you! Don’t be afraid to be yourself…. get to know your heart so closely that you know how to be comfortable in your own skin. There is nothing more beautiful, sexy, intriguing, than a person who is comfortable with who they are. Get quiet with your soul, cultivate confidence…. practice it… practice acceptance….

Nobody’s perfect, and what’s the fun of a bunch of “perfect” people running around.

I want to be around someone who falls down, and has the courage to get back up and fight, or someone who shoots milk out their nose because they’re laughing so hard!…. or someone who has courage to teach a class or give a speech, with they’re voice shaking and hands sweating knowing that, it wasn’t great, but with practice they will get better. Or someone willing to be open and vulnerable!

I need you to be bright, courageous, and confident… the world needs that… So we can encourage one another and cheer each other on in our journey!

Hello there! I’m Shawn Petite

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 30 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul.
