the-last-thought

Make room in your life for those that encourage you…. that helps your soul blossom. It’s easier said than done, but it makes the difference in your own growth. Surround yourself with people who are not in competition with you, who don’t get jealous of your talents, who speaks the truth with love and compassion and who are on a path of growth themselves. On the flip side, be that person for everyone around you. Stay on your path, grow and help  others do the same.

I hope your sunday is great and you are surrounded by gardeners of you soul.

You are loved!

Hello there! I’m Shawn Petite

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 25 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul. I believe—no, I know—you are worthy of love, and I want to teach you to know that about yourself. Join me on this journey of art and inspiration!

I love your inspiration, it always comes into my room on Sunday afternoon… Today I am puddling between a canvas, my art journal, my dairy, some Happy Tags and ironing the laundry 😉
I love days like that…Thank you for sharing, especially on being a person to encourage and inspire others. If just a tiny little bit of my puddling inspires someone, I am happy!
Have a great and creative Sunday – Irma

I am right there with you Shawn. I have had to let some relationships go that were a drain on my own spiritual walk. It was hard but I did it and it is much better. You art does inspire and somethimes when we just have nothing is the time tha God will give us the most intense and blessed outcomes in our art. Thank you for your time it
Hat you give to others. Be blessed.

I look forward to your Sunday Inspirations. I LOVE all of them. Thanks for sharing! I have a question about that book you read,” Big Magic” I want to read it but I don’t want to be bombarded with New Age ideas. I am a Christian and don’t like to read that sort of thing. But, I heard it was so good and just wanted your opinion.

I have loved the book, This book does have some kind of “new age” ish talk but not alot and I’m not deterred from reading because I can place it in context to my faith. I can change words in my mind to apply to how I view and think. I have read books that are really out there, this is not one of them. I think creativity come from a very divine place, So I think you will enjoy it. Let me know what you think if you get it! Hugs

What a wonderful creation and a beautiful message Shawn. i love following you – you always encourage me thru your artwork and your thoughts. I love being an encourager – to the point that for years I have believed that is one of my purposes. I agree that it is hard to find folks that return positive encouragement. Sometimes I feel rather alone in that respect. So your post here really means a lot to me because lots of folks look up to you and your voice will be heard. That in itself is great encouragement!!! Thank you for being you and for the way you are “free” with your incredible artwork. Hugs. j.
