the-last-thought

I had a dream 20 years ago to have a place that would allow me to create and encourage women. A place that I could teach and inspire. A place that women would love to come to and shop, create and encourage one another.

I didn’t think that it would look like this… but this is it… this place is a long time coming and lots of hard steps to get here. Lots of life lessons, challenges and victories.

In my darkest days, I always quietly expected that it would happen. Some days my hope was bigger than others. But way down in the deep part of my heart, I never gave up.

My friend… NEVER give up. Adjust when needed, rest when needed, agree to see the dream in a different light, but NEVER give up. Write it down, write it down, write it down. In your quiet moments, picture what that dream will look like, and write it down.

My love, quietly (or boldly) expect great things! You can do it, YOU are worthy!

Be inspired, create and know that you are loved!

Hello there! I’m Shawn Petite

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 25 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul. I believe—no, I know—you are worthy of love, and I want to teach you to know that about yourself. Join me on this journey of art and inspiration!
