the-last-thought

New Beginnings bring mixed emotions…. good, happy, excited, uncertain, fearful, and a whole lot more.  As I start the journey on my own new adventure, I am excited and fearful all at the same time. I know deep down all is well, it’s just the uncertainty, the unknown that brings the fear. As I shared in the video I am moving to Ohio. I am a phoenix native and leaving is exciting and scary. I am excited for my honey and the promotion and new adventure he will experience. I have seen a spark and excitement in him, that I haven’t seen in a while. With all the good that is involved in this new adventure, I have some fear. and I know that I need to give space to that fear so that it doesn’t become overwhelming.

My new beginning is different from yours, but change is scary in any way, shape or form. But my friend it is so important to take some time to feel the fear… to talk about your worry. To make some space to breathe and process. Share your fears with your friend or mate, not needing a solution, just putting them out there and then letting go. Make space to feel…

If you are in a place of new beginnings, I hope that there is excitement and good stuff, and take the same time to celebrate, and if there is fear, my love, take the time to feel it, breathe it out, and talk it out.

I am looking for some creative connections in Ohio, in the west cleveland, Avon, North ridgeville area. Places to teach, boutiques and shows, that I can sell my pieces as well as creative groups to take classes and to get connected! Send me an email if you have some info and I would be so grateful! Thank you!

Be inspired, create and know that you are loved!

Hello there! I’m Shawn Petite

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 25 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul. I believe—no, I know—you are worthy of love, and I want to teach you to know that about yourself. Join me on this journey of art and inspiration!
