Hello there! I’m Shawn Petite

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 25 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul. I believe—no, I know—you are worthy of love, and I want to teach you to know that about yourself. Join me on this journey of art and inspiration!

Your last thoughts could have been mine. I sooo often “loose myself” that I need the feeling of breaking down first before I come back to what is important to me. I do not like that at all and always try to figure out new tricks to avoid this viscious circle. At the moment it is a small routine of starting the day with meditation, yoga, green smoothies and writing…I am now practising, on Tuesday the #100dayproject starts and I will want to keep this routine up as much as possible.
Have a great, creative and much loved Sunday! – Irma

Hey my friend! I think it will always be a process for me…. i think it’s life… just as long as we work our way back and not stay stuck. I too am changing some things… with diet and focus and prayer! Hugs to you!
