Peace can mean many things…. Peace for me is not a rah, rah cheerleader kind of happiness…. it a calm, underlying feeling that no matter what happens, no matter what season of my life I am in…. that I know myself enough to know that I am strong and can get through anything…. It doesn’t mean that I am necessarily happy about the particular season or situation but that my strength muscles will carry me through. This piece is calming to me… the neutral palette says peace to me. I hope today you can be peaceful in whatever season you are in.

Thank you Pat!
Shawn, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your Sunday inspirational talks! I’ve a love watching how you work and yet I think I love listening to the calmness in your voice just as much. Sometimes I think I hear a little sadness in your voice and yet you always find away to turn it into a blessing. Thank you! One quick question… So often you use a pencil to go around some of your pieces in a collage in order to shade, etc. What type of pencil is that?
