I am so thankful for so many things. Gratitude is a practice, it’s so easy to get distracted by all the crazy life things… that can be stressful or negative. When we take just a little time to make note of the things we are grateful for it gets easier to find them. Then when we share our gratitude with our loved ones, neighbors and community… it helps others to find their grateful times. It becomes contagious.

My prayer for you this Thanksgiving is that you, no matter your situation, or how you are celebrating the holiday…. that you take the time to find something to be grateful for and that you know that you are loved!

Hello there! I’m Shawn Petite

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 30 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul.
