This took me a lot longer than I thought it would. When I grabbed the stack of papers… I had no idea how I would make them work. I’m still not completely satisfied but it will do. That is the process of journaling… it helps us learn and grow and we discover new things. I brought out the Pan Pastels and some pens and even the woody.

The road less traveled is never easy, but it’s worth it.

Enjoy the video

See you Sunday…

Be inspired, create and know that you are loved!

Hello there! I’m Shawn Petite

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 25 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul. I believe—no, I know—you are worthy of love, and I want to teach you to know that about yourself. Join me on this journey of art and inspiration!

What brand of journal are you using for Crash the Stash?

This was completely inspiring! You kept on, didn’t give up and came up with something beautiful and that speaks to the heart. Thank you for sharing your real journey and the fact that everything does not fall into place without a little work.

      Thanks my friend!!
