Sometimes, well most of the time, I think we as humans complicate things. This quote this week was sent to me as a commission piece. Sometimes as I begin the creative process for a custom piece it takes a while to feel what the client is asking for, however that didn’t happen with this piece. The inspiration came immediately. The quote so resonated with me that I thought I would share the process and the thoughts for this Sunday Inspiration.

Life really is simple…. there are a few things that really matter and all the rest of the stuff is just fluff, distraction, fodder… it’s just stuff. There is not “utopia” it doesn’t exsist, life is not perfect and happy. But we can strive to make it the best life we have and if we really think about what makes the best life… For me it is the little things, a beautiful sunrise, friendship, deep connections with others, intimate love and creating. It’s just a few things that really matter. To love and be loved and all the rest is just filler.

So today, remember in the midst of all the “stuff” that you are doing. Take notice of the important things, the little things and cherish them.
