This made my heart happy. The colors, using up some of my gelli prints, the interference paint that made the butterfly glow… aah happiness.

I also love that my soul is on the page. While you can’t read the writing, it has deep meaning along with the word understanding.

Our art journals should be that sacred space where the confusion of everything going on around us can go and begin to make sense.

Deco Art Media Fluid Acrylic Paint, 1-Ounce, Green Gold , Quinacridone Magenta, Quinacridone Violet, Yellow Oxcide, Fluid Acrylic Paint, 1-Ounce, Carbon Black , Phthalo Blue, Transparent red oxide, Vermilion, titanium white, Interference blue.

Deco art Matte Medium, Deco art glamour dust (black), Americana acrylic paint (coral)

Bubble wrap, plastic jar gripper thingy, white sharpie pen, charcoal pencil, Strathmore 8.5 x 11 journal

Papers (gelli prints) and bit of randoms from the stash.

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 30 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul.
