Meet me where the sky touches the waves

There is so much symbolism in this piece. Even when the papers tore, I thought this is perfect, because life NEVER goes as planned.

It’s in those moments when things don’t go the way we planned, that we can get stuck, and forget about the freedom we have, to overcome, to dream, to love, to move past the fear to the other side.

“Courage is not the absence of fear, but the ability to walk through the fear and get to the other side of it.”

Have courage today to walk through the door, to see the freedom you really have…. and then…

Will you meet me where the sky touches the waves?

Enjoy your Sunday Inspiration video.

Hello there! I’m Shawn Petite

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 30 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul.
