The last page in my journal – Crash the Stash

This is the last page in my journal! Can you believe it!  Next week I will rebind my journal and create something cool on the the covers.

I wasn’t sure that I could do another weekly video… but the time I spent in my journal became a sacred time. It forced me outside of my comfort zone and the lessons and love affair I had with this time has been amazing!

Crash the Stash will continue and some new things will be happening. New journals and new adventures all with the hopes of using up that endless amount of paper stash.

Enjoy the video.

Supplies Used:

Strathmore 500 Series Mixed Media journal, Scraps from the stash, Liquitex Matte Medium, Americana acrylic paint (Sea Breeze, Coral Blush, Titanium white, carbon black) Deco Art Fluid Acrylics (Prussian blue hue, Quinacridone violet, Dioxazine purple, Colbalt turquoise hue), Charcoal pencil,

Stencils ( numbers, old world 2, patterns 2 )

Have a great week

Be Inspired, Create and know that you are loved!

Hello there! I’m Shawn Petite

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 25 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul. I believe—no, I know—you are worthy of love, and I want to teach you to know that about yourself. Join me on this journey of art and inspiration!
