Circles of life art journal page using some of my favorites

This was so pleasing to all my artistic sides… paper, stencils, marabu and markers… I love the colors and it gave me a great place to journal my feelings about life right now.

If you have not used Marabu art crayons, (link below) they are just yummy, creamy and oh so blend-able. they are water soluble but if you heat set them they will stay put! This makes me happy!

Supplies Used:

Canson mixed media journal, Liquitex matte medium, papers from the stash, fluid acrylics (titanium white, colbalt turquoise hue, quinacridone violet, vermillion), Marabu art crayons, Liquitex paint markers, charcoal pencil, black gel pen

stencils used: tiles, scribbles, old type text

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 30 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul.
