These 3 words are always my go to when I’m needing some encouragement for my soul.
It has been a hard winter for me and I’m not exactly sure why, but what I do know is that I need to be ok with where I’m at and be present to learn the lesson in this season. I have nothing major happening except a lonely soul, and I’m not even sure I can explain that, those are just the words that came to mind.
I’m restless and quiet all at the same time. It’s crazy I know, but, I also have hope, because I know this won’t last forever and that some of my best art and deep dives of my inner world happens in this place.
I just keep reminding myself that I need to have grace with myself and others, love for me, love for the moment, love for others, and courage to not discouraged by the restlessness, courage to keep going, courage to sit with the quiet and listen… listen hard to what my soul needs and what changes will come with this season.
If you are in a similar time in your life…. take my words and use them to bring light and encouragement to your world. And know that this won’t last forever.

3 5×7 mdf wood panels, Vintage papers (Botany collage pak) , Deco art media matte medium, parchment paper, Deco Art media fluid acrylics (Titanium white, Dark grey value 3 Diarylide yellow, English red oxide, paynes grey), charcoal pencil, black pastel,
Collage pak used: Botony flower book (these are just a few of the collage pak)
Stencils used: Magnolia stencils and vintage quatrefoil

Oh Shawn…too shaky to write all that is in my heart. I’m not running a business, so that can lessen the stress…and “need to!” Grace…Love…Courage all go hand in hand. I’ll share why I say this. Mid-Dec I almost lost my 34 yr battle with lupus.The thought that ran through my mind like a ribbon was…”do they know how much you loved them??!” Wish I could send a hug and make it all ok. I’ll add you to my prayers…have lots of time. Remember, you, too, are loved!! You’re spreading love to everyone!!🙏 🌸🍃 💗
