This original is available HERE

I had a lot of fun playing with Marabu art crayons in this piece, wanting to get a watercolor effect so that all the vintage papers would show through. A little line work and I had these great flowers!

I share in today’s video about change and how it’s the only thing that’s constant. We can choose to embrace it or we can fight it. Change is not easy! it’s scary and there is a lot of uncertainty, but I also share one of my favorite quotes, “Great things never come from comfort zones”  Take the risk and go for it!

Enjoy the video

Hello there! I’m Shawn Petite

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 30 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul.
