Angels among us, mixed media 12×18 Original available HERE

This piece has all my favorite things! My favorite vintage book pages, grungy umber, gesso and palette knife work. It just makes me happy.

I was much more deliberate about where I put my papers because I wanted to see those gorgeous butterflies in her dress and have those vintage postcards peeking out above her head. I was also very mindful to keep the layers light.

Angels among us… I’m a believer in angels and a greater power’s protection, but even if your not, I know you know people whom you would consider angels. I have them in my life. The ones that when you’re with them you just want to be with them more. That brings peace and love into your life and helps you to be a better person. The ones that step in when you are unable to help yourself. The ones who are selfless and compassionate. Those angels are my example, to help me grow and step outside my comfort zone to bring love and peace to others.

I’m grateful every day for the spiritual angels and the earthly ones who walk with me on my journey.

12×18 mdf board, vintage papers, tissue paper with stars, matte medium, Deco art media fluid acrylic (medium grey, burnt umber, titanium white, carbon black) and gesso, White soft pastel, charcoal pencil, Americana acrylic paint in (soft white)
