Trust the process – this original is available HERE

“What we are waiting for is not as important as what happens to us while we are waiting. Trust the process.” – Mandy Hale

I had an idea in my mind of what I wanted this piece to be, it didn’t turn out exactly like I wanted, but I know that it’s exactly what I needed for right now. And the lessons I learned in the process will make the next one better.

That is always the lesson of my life. So often I get caught up in the end result and forget to trust the process, to enjoy the journey, to be grateful for the lessons that the journey is so lovingly giving me. Trusting that what I am going through, what path I’m on is right where I need to be at that moment. Building my courage muscles and growing step by step. Take a moment to be grateful for the path that you’re on, even if it’s hard, there’s always something to be grateful for.  Open your eyes and your heart to see what can be learned from the process and then store them deep in your soul, so that you can use that knowledge on your next adventure.

I hope you enjoy the video

Hello there! I’m Shawn Petite

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 25 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul. I believe—no, I know—you are worthy of love, and I want to teach you to know that about yourself. Join me on this journey of art and inspiration!
