This project is painted on watercolor paper that has been folded and will later be bound into an art journal.

Modeling paste, Golden High flow in quin magenta and quin nickel azo gold, stamps, permanent ink pad, pencil, liquitex fluid matte medium, white acrylic paint, “Big Chat” words by Tim Holtz

Hello there! I’m Shawn Petite

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 25 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul.     I love it ! Never thought of drawing a face then cutting it out to add to another page ! Can’t wait to give it a try !
