I “discovered” something new in this piece and it my be a game changer when it comes to creating texture.

I used Nuvo’s expanding mousse and I LOVE IT! I paired it with Prima’s chalk paste and Deco Arts crackle paint… I hear the angels singing!

The vintage maps in the background add just the right interest and begin to tell the story. A couple of the maps will be free in the resource library and there will also be a coupon in the library or in your weekly email if you want to get the whole collage pak (11 pages of vintage maps)

I’m in love with the texture and how it all came together using a couple of the new stencils in the shop.

The inspiration comes from my word for the year and the maps. I have to tell myself, or rather convince myself that I need to step out of my comfort zone to grow. I need to discover new joys everyday and I need to be ok with the scared feeling when I’m discover new things, because just on the other side of comfort and fear is the magic.

It’s the place I grow and find my courage muscles. It’s the place that I discover just how strong, creative, intuitive I am.

It’s where I find my joy, happiness and passion.

12×12 mdf board, vintage maps, Deco art matte medium, Deco art fluid acrylics (yellow oxide, transparent yellow, Pthalo green, quin magenta, cobalt blue, paynes grey, quin gold, raw umber, cobalt teal, transparent red iron oxide) Prima chalk paste (vintage lace, cranberry) Deco art media crackle paint and gesso, Americana white, Americana glazing medium, Soho soft pastels, Nuvo expanding mousse, charcoal pencil, archival ink and make up brush, letter stamps
