I knew I wanted this piece to have a vintage feel, that’s why I used the vintage wallpaper in the background and yellow oxide to give it that stained aged look.
I also used a large 12×18 MDF board so that I could really show off the flowers.
I used Deco art premium paints to get clean stenciled images but then threw in some Marabu are crayons to really make the highlights pop. Using the crayons is a lot like oil pastels without the long dry time.
The inspiration for this piece came from needing to find some beauty in a chaotic week. So I decided to create my own beauty and share about this in the video.
Have fun watching and creating!

Shawn…….I never, ever tire of watching your process, which always results in something gorgeous!! Hearing of your struggles; hearing of how you become “present”; hearing of how you challenge yourself as opposed to challenging your surroundings…….is food for my soul!! Thank you, my friend!! Always remember how much you are loved!!
Carole
Love you friend!!
I love the way you use the stencils as a guide and then go in with brushes and a pencil to define them. They always turn out so pretty. Thank you for another wonderful video and message.
