This is the last page in my journal and I always use my last page to document the time that I spent creating there.

It always looks different in each journal but there is always a space to write how I felt, the season I was in or new art and personal discoveries.

The next crash the stash I will create the cover and do a flip through of the whole thing.

I hope you enjoy the video

Supplies used:

Handmade journal, Liquitex matte medium, papers from the stash, Lukas paint, Deco art traditions paint, Americana acrylic and glazing medium, Sharpie water-based marker in white, china marker, brayer, General’s charcoal pencil

This is the stencil I used in today’s page. – Flower silhouette 5 stencil

Hello there! I’m Shawn Petite

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 30 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul.
