Mixed media art journal using Tyvek crash the stash

I think I like finishing the cover as much as I love creating in my journal. It’s such a symbol of accomplishment of the journey of creativity.

I try to always use something fun and interesting. And I love how the Tyvek worked on the cover, looking so much like leather. I want to put it on everything now!

Supplies used: handmade journal, Tyvek, bookbinding tape, burlap, Liquitex matte gel, Decoart crackle paint, rusty hinge, ribbon, butterfly collage paper, printed words, E6000 and hot glue, Golden high flow acrylic, Deco art fluid acrylic in quin gold burnt umber, Golden vandyke brown, Golden high flow acrylic in teal and pthalo blue, carbon black

Stencils used: numbers 2, keys, vintage script
