I love it when I can repurpose an old piece that didn’t go anywhere. It gave just the right interest and texture to this piece.
I also love integrating collage elements into my work alongside painted or stenciled elements. I used my stencils as my guide to get the base, shape and form for the other flowers…… I just love how this turned out!
The inspiration is the quote placed discreetly along the table line “Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it” It’s hard to see the beauty in difficult times. It’s hard to see the beauty when we’re unsure or new at something, It’s hard to see the beauty in endings
I can tell you I’ve been in all of the above places and more and in the middle of it, I couldn’t see the beauty, the wisdom, the courage, the strength, the lessons.
I can now …… and when those difficult times arrive now, …. I wait for the beauty, I know it’s there and I look hard to find it because I know it will show up.
It shows up in the form of someone’s compassion, a hug, a beautiful painting, a new discovery, a card in the mail, the helpful words of a therapist, a dinner, a chance to rest.
Do you need to find the beauty where you are? It’s there… and it’s usually found in the little things.
