This was a page I did in my art journal. It was a very fun and intuitive process. I didn’t have any plan when I started. I love Shawn’s Mediterranean stencil. I used vintage book and music pages I picked up from a yard sale as well as scraps of rice paper from my stash. Creative intuition began flowing when I picked the vintage lady out of my scraps. The message of the page quickly erupted from my heart. To share art and to teach art is my passion and yet I struggle with value and worthiness. Once I learned I was invited to be part of the Shawn Petite’s Creative Team, all my worse fears erupted. This page brought calm and promise to my heart. I love when art does that! “Learning to fly…She dreamed beautiful dreams…She could believe!” Yes, my hope for everyone. Don’t stop dreaming, you never know what is around the corner.

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 30 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul.
