I used some of my yummy papers and gelli printed tissue papers that I created in the Abstract journey workshop in this piece and it’s one of my favorite ways to create.
I love being able to nestle the papers in between all the layers and have just bits show up.
I also love being able to lay down words and cover them up as I did in this piece. It always symbolizes healing or forgiveness for me.
The quote ” Let your wounds become wisdom” along with an email this week inspired this piece. I share in the video what the black, turquoise and flowers represent and how wisdom comes.
Supplies used: 11×14 mdf board, vintage papers, Liquitex matte medium, Golden heavy body paint in Vandyke brown and carbon black, Sennelier acrylic (medium body) in teal, Lukas acrylic in teal, Gesso, gelli prints, brayer, variety of brushes, charcoal pencil
