There is nothing quite like a vintage red pickup truck with a Christmas tree in the back! At least to me, it’s one of my favorite symbols of winter and what inspired me to use the Farmhouse Truck stencil to create this wintry scene on a raw edge wood slice. The holiday season is my favorite time of year and it is my favorite home decor piece to create. This project would look great on a mantle with garland – it’s not very big, the wood slice measures about 8”x 9” so it’s a great size if you are new to creating mixed media on something other than an art journal or canvas. I love the versatility of getting a stencil with it’s mask. I used both from Christmas Tree Quad to create this piece. I loved creating this piece that will be displayed year after year as part of our decor. I hope it will inspire you as well.
