Neo colors and gesso and my words for 2020 crash the stash 1-2-19

I love choosing my words for the year. It’s a chance to refocus and work on areas that need work.

I chose two words, one for my business and one for personal.

Rise – for work – to reach for more, to rise above my fear, to raise my knowledge.

Capture – for personal – to remember to capture the most important moment – to seize the day – to be present, to play.

In today’s journal page, I use neo colors for some great color and gesso to get some texture.

Supplies used: Handmade journal, papers from the stash, neo colors 2, gesso, Lukas cryl paint, brayer, Sharpie water based marker, Archival stamp pad, make up brush, charcoal pencil, black soft pastel, black gel pen.

Stencils used: geo duo, daisy 2, old school font, pattern 5

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 30 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.
