Valentines day tags & free download Sunday inspiration

I love making tags, but I can go overboard and end up spending waaay to much time on them. Not these ones!

I worked hard to be quick and simple, which is what it should!

I used the same simple pressed paper background technique with some fun papers from the stash and then used the new Valentine’s stencils with Archival in.

I also didn’t use my trusty charcoal pencil, so that I didn’t have to seal them. Instead I used a stabilo pencil.

Don’t forget these tags are a free download to you in the resource library!

I share all about it in the video along with giving YOU some words of love.

Have fun watching!

Supplies used: 100 lb bristol paper, parchment paper, papers from the stash, Jerry’s fluid matte medium, Lukas cryl paint, Archival ink, Stabilo all pencil, makeup brush, ribbon to finish the tag.

Stencils used: Words of love, pattern heart, love is the answer, hearts and arrow.

These tags will be available in the resource library for you to download and used.

If you have not signed up to get access to the library you can do that HERE

Be inspired, create and know that you are loved!

Hello there! I’m Shawn Petite

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 25 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul. I believe—no, I know—you are worthy of love, and I want to teach you to know that about yourself. Join me on this journey of art and inspiration!

    Hello Shawn,
Loved these tags they are the perfect little gift or finishing touch! Just wondering do you leave the back side of the tags plain or do you paint or embellish them?
Thank you so much for sharing your inspiration and creativity with us each week. You are truly a gift!
    Sweet Blessings!
