So I have been playing with the new spring stencils and I couldn’t wait to get my hand on the angel wings stencil!
I’m in love and can’t wait to create more with it. I also use some of the new 6×6 stencils for the background, I already know which ones will be my go to stencils.
I used a lot of gesso and super heavy gesso on this piece. I started with black gesso which is unusual for me and just one piece of paper! But the grungy feel of it is just what I wanted. Then I threw in some gold paint for good measure!
I also share how “your” strength looks different than anyone else’s strength. That we’re all on our own journey and that we can’t compare how we do strength or how we show up day after day, with anyone else.
It’s your story, your journey…. I share more about it in the video.

I look forward to you Sunday videos as if they were dessert! The angel wings have set my mind on fire with ideas. My passion is genealogy and, over the years, I have often remarked that my “genealogy angels” have been my guides and nudge me towards answers. I am going to spend some time thinking of how to combine my angel with family tree ideas.
I was transfixed during the whole process and sat with the biggest smile on my face. You are indeed an angel and I also look forward to your Sunday messages. Thank you for your inspiration and wisdom.
Thanks so much and thanks for being here!
You have totally converted me to the beauty of mixed media. Never thought that could happen but watching you paint and create is just so fascinating. I admire how you don’t agonize over every stroke and make it look so easy. You are very talented and your designs are so captivating. Thank you for sharing your talent and life with all of us who appreciate art.
Carol,
Thanks so much for being here. So glad that I can inspire you! Thanks for the sharing the journey!
