Easter is one of my favorite holiday’s and I can’t believe that I almost forgot it was coming.

With everything that’s been happening it’s easy to get lost in the day to day, but maybe today we can refocus. And even if you don’t celebrate Easter, you can be present in the spring season.

Some days it still feels very winter-like for a lot of reasons, but for a moment I wanted to focus on new life, new birth and all things blooming. Que the deep breath and a smile.

The cards and a whole lotta stuff are available in the resource library. I just added all kinds of goodies for you to get for free, to keep you busy during your stay at home time.

Hello there! I’m Shawn Petite

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 25 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

But what I’m truly passionate about is being your guide, walking with you step by step and helping you become your own hero in your creative journey.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul. I believe—no, I know—you are worthy of love, and I want to teach you to know that about yourself. Join me on this journey of art and inspiration!

Shawn it is so lovely to sit down and listen to you explain your project. You seem so calm and kind. At a time where so people are worrying about something they have no control over, it is a nice refuge.
I know how hard you are working but I wonder if it is possible to do a childrens project because adults without realising it, are causing so much fear and stress in their child. My grand daughter age 9 called me and asked “nanna are you going to die?” and “what about mummy and daddy and my family i’m scared I could be alone”.
Without realising it just by having the TV on in the background the children were listening to the news and the statistics. So I told their parents *my sons and explained the issue and now no TV in the house until all children are tucked up in bed.
School is closed at least until end of September possibly until the new year. Parks, theaters, movie shows, any gathering place is closed. So I was hoping that you might think of some fun ideas for the children. I was thinking of a sampler I made 50 years ago. The alphabet was all upper case but wrapped around, or sitting on, swinging etc. were little children but it could be mice or possums etc. maybe a letter a week, I am sure adults would love them too
OK I will leave you in peace and as always thank you so much for all you do.
