Aging paper and acrylic inks Sunday inspiration 4-26-20

Today’s piece has deep meaning for me and everything tells the story. I also loved every step of the process.

The first layers of reverse stenciling created a beautiful background for vintage papers and some regular copy paper that I aged with acrylic ink and acrylic high flow.

I added some super heavy gesso and gold acrylic ink and also had some happy accidents.

I was inspired to create this piece from several emails that I received this week about how people are feeling right now. … lonely, unloved, worthless and it breaks my heart and I have a message for you!

I used gold in this project to represent how valuable you are…. I’ll tell you all about it in the video.

Supplies used: 11×14 mdf board, vintage collage pak paper, Arteza acrylic paint (cold gray, sky blue), regular gesso, super heavy gesso, Sennelier acrylic paint (turquoise), Dr. Ph. Martin liquid acrylic (yellow oxide, sepia) F&W acrylic ink (sepia), Golden high flow in sepia, Liquitex matte gel, Liquitex matte medium, Liquitex super heavy gesso, brayer, charcoal pencil

    Just watching this beautiful piece and listened to your message at the end. I’m a realtor and I’m still pretty busy, mostly remotely, and seem to be doing pretty good but as I listened to the message I realized I needed that too. Thank you so much.
