As I searched for my inspiration for my Sunday inspiration video this week all my ideas were swirling around my head with lots of confusion and nothing felt right.

So I got quiet…. and journaled, prayed and listened.

I listened

I learned

I loved

I changed

I’ve been teaching and creating for well over 25 years. About 15 years ago I found my art soul mate in mixed media, and it changed my life! I love the story that can be told by combining paint, texture, ink, paper and—really anything that you can imagine.

Along my path, I’ve learned that the creating art also creates a healing space. Life can be messy and complicated and painful, but something about a paint brush can help heal your soul.     Thank you for your honesty as well as your gift of art. Listening is hard. Listening without becoming defensive is hard. Being silent is hard but I am fortunate that I have that option when others do not.
