Oh the yummy goodness in today’s piece! I used so many of my favorite things….. collage papers, spray paint, pastels, stencils…. such goodness!
The inspiration came from the quote on the piece “Beauty from ashes” . As I read it this week I thought about how so many times the ashes of my life have been made beautiful.
Which led me to think about how when I’m in the city or my own downtown area, how artists have taken what was a grungy old building wall with graffiti on it and painted something so beautiful that everyone enjoys.
It’s inspiring to see these huge beautiful murals that reflect the artist or the city.
So that’s where I went with this project. The grungy wall, the pealing papers with a little graffiti, and the beauty.
I share more about the beauty from the ashes in the video.
