I started this piece without a plan, I had my inspiration and a tiny idea, but decided to just start and let each layer come together.
I use a lot of supplies, that’s usually what happens when I’m not sure what direction to take, I just keep trying until something lights me up.
Today’s inspiration came from another book I’m reading (Listed below are all the books that are on my desk right now). It’s “Invitations from God” by Adele Calhoun.
As I move through this book, each chapter gives you 5 things to think about before you dive in. And in this particular chapter, the very first thing, the author asks me (us) to “see people as Jesus does – the most important thing in the world”
It was like water to dry soil, it felt so good to hear those words, when it feels like so, so many are divided and angry in your country, state, neighborhoods, families.
So I scribbled a little doodle of an idea, in the pages of the book as I read and then I grabbed my stuff and started painting. I share more about my inspiration in the video.
Have fun watching!
