The texture, oh the texture…. I was going for a look of wood siding and I love how it came out!
All it took was some paper and gesso. I used super simple supplies for today’s project and wasn’t even sure I was going to create this.
In fact I created another piece right alongside it, because I just wasn’t feeling very Holiday-ish.
But I found my message and my inspiration in the meaning of home. I used my journal page writing for the papers in the background because it infused the meaning and story into the piece.
I share all about it in the video.
Mdf board, copy paper (copies of the journal writing) Liquitex matte medium, Liquitex gesso, Lukas acrylic paint (Alizarin Crimson, magenta, burnt umber, raw umber, olive green chrome green, fern,) Americana acrylic paint (cobblestone and surgared peach) Americana glazing medium, Posca pen for ribbon on wreath, charcoal pencil, brayer, square palette knife
