For this project, I felt inspired to work on a smaller scale. After trying several large surfaces, unable to find my creative flow I finally decided to grab my 6×9 spiral journal and the magic happened! I was so excited to be able to use multiple stencils from Shawn’s line and I love every single page.
Each one began with a small collage followed by a series of layers that were built as my intuition led me. I love the versatility of the stencils and found that working small helped me connect with my creative heart faster and made it very enjoyable for me. I still wanted a simple but yet beautiful look. A simple collage, using some elements that I already had. I tried to use a minimum of supplies this time. I simply used papers for the collages, Mod Podge, watercolor, 3 tones of blue and white heavy gesso. You will see that this process isn’t tedious or bothersome but rather very spontaneous and freeing. I hope you enjoy the process and that it’s inspirational for you!
