For this project, I felt inspired to work on a larger scale. After trying several surfaces, I decided to grab my Large Etcetera Tag from Tim Holtz and got to work! I loved the process of creating this Tag and all the textures I was able to build on this piece. Again, I always look for the opportunity to use as many stencils from Shaw’s line as possible and let me tell you: I am always amazed at their versatility. I even realized that the Pods stencil can be used to create whimsical eyes! Omg, I am not kidding!
Though the color palette changed a bit in the process, I was very happy with the outcome!
I tried to use a minimum of supplies this time- but as you will see I had a little too much fun .
I always begin my process using papers for the collages, and this time I used mostly Matte Medium for collaging along with liquid and white heavy gesso.
You will see that this process isn’t tedious or bothersome but rather very spontaneous and freeing.
I hope you enjoy the process and that it’s inspirational for you!
Have fun!
