The layers and texture on this journal page are so fun! Layers, paint, and collage with reverse stenciling was the perfect combination.
I love using my stencils as my guide and making the pattern free and my own.
The inspiration behind this page was actually my tiredness and a distracted mind.
I couldn’t find my direction for my Sunday inspiration. As I was journaling out my thoughts, like I usually do, to prepare for Sunday, I kept getting distracted.
I started just writing single words, with hope of inspiration…. and I finally wrote….
Shawn, just show up, show up imperfectly. Show up tired, show up for yourself, show up for my art practice….. And all day. I just kept that in the back of my mind.
So I showed up…. and painted! I share more about the journey I took in the video.
