Rest on the water which is what this piece is titled, was just what happened this week.
The water is always this place of peace for me, plus I got to get out to the water this week with my kids! Bonus!
As the world begins to open back up again, We are getting in as much time with our people as possible. So I took some time this week to hug and laugh and sing and realize how grateful I am.
That was the inspiration for this piece and I’ll share more about it in the video.
I knew what I wanted to create but actually making it happen didn’t go quite as planned. You see in the video how I struggled to integrate my tissue paper photos.
I also struggled with contrast, but I fixed it and let go of a few things along the way.
I hope you enjoy the project.

Beautiful! How do you print on tissue paper?
I tape my tissue to copy paper or cardstock and run it through the printer!

Alice, Thanks so much, I love that I get to do what I love every day – encourage and inspire!
I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciate you. Aside from the practical instruction (which I love) – you really inspire me to think about my perspective, my ambition, my peace and I am so grateful for that. Thank you for being you.
Oh Patti, This means so much! We’re all on this journey together. So glad my words can encourage you! Have a great week!
